About Naval Architect / Marine Engineer - Tampa

  Summary

  Expertise and experience to provide technical solutions and project management for our clients in all aspects of Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering.

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Hydrostatics and Stability Analysis

  • Structural Analysis & Engineering

  • Shipboard Stability Tests (Inclinings)

  • Fluid Transfer (pipe schematics and flow analysis)

  • Cargo Handling

  • Electrical Engineering (Load Analysis)

  • Vessel Speed/Power/Resistance Estimating & Analysis

  • Equipment Assembly (Navigation Consoles/Mud Out Systems)

  • Design of Hull and all structural related requirements

  • Vessel Surveys and Inspections

  • Prepares and presents reports for clients and classification/regulatory organizations

  • Management of small and/or short-term projects

  • Oversee ship construction or ship repair projects

  • Prepares or reviews recommendations for repair work to ships

  • Interact with clients on a peer level

  • Additional duties as assigned

  f) Team Work - Balances team and individual responsibilities; Exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views; Gives and welcomes feedback; Contributes to building a positive team spirit; Puts success of team above own interests; Able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives; Supports everyone's efforts to succeed; Recognizes accomplishments of other team members.

  g) Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Varies writing style to meet needs; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information.

  Qualifications

  Education/Experience:

  Minimum Bachelor of Science, Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering degree or equivalent; or four to ten years minimum related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  Language Ability:

  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business
