  Job Description Summary

  The Facilities Manager is responsible for leading all facilities activities at the site, including any maintenance, repair, and upgrade projects of the buildings, equipment, and grounds.

  Duties and Responsibilities:

  Provides Maintenance and Facilities Engineering leadership

  Schedules, prioritizes and monitors repair and maintenance work

  Assists Facilities Engineer(s) as required with repair and maintenance activities

  Identify and coordinate work of outside vendors as required to accomplish repair and maintenance objectives.

  Supervise internal or external facility janitorial activities to assure that plant is kept in proper state of cleanliness.

  Plan and supervise installation of new equipment.

  Plan and supervise modifications or additions to facilities.

  Familiar with applicable regulatory requirements (GMPs, USDA, OSHA, EPA, ISO, local and state building codes,etc) as related to maintenance functions. Responsible for maintaining plant and equipment in compliance with these regulations.

  Establishes (as required) and implements preventive maintenance system to cover equipment and facilities as appropriate.

  Develop and manage departmental budgets to comply with corporate guidelines.

  Physical Requirements:

  Heavy lifting and safely maneuvering of over 50 lbs.

  Must be physically able to stand, bend, kneel, climb for extended periods.

  Must be able to work in temperatures ranging from -5° to 115° for extended periods with appropriate personnel protection.

  Can safely work with maintenance cleaning solvents and/or chemicals with appropriate personal protection.

  Education and Experience:

  Minimum AS Technical degree and 10+ years hands-on maintenance & maintenance supervision experience in a manufacturing environment. BS Technical degree preferred.

  Must be proficient in use of personal computer.

  Must be proficient in reading and interpretation of mechanical and electrical schematics.

  Must have certified or demonstrable skill in facility maintenance areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, electrical.

  Must have valid Georgia driver’s license.
