Overview and Essential Functions
Summary of Position: A successful Training Manager shall be responsible for identifying and analyzing training needs in the organization, and design, plan, and implement training programs, policies, and procedures to fulfill those needs. They will oversees the daily activities of training associates and consultants and employees (instructors, trainers, and administrative personnel). They will conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive and ensure training milestones and goals are met. They will be responsible for reviewing existing training programs; suggesting enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of clientele, the organization, or the industry. They will develop and conduct or facilitate training (instructor led and virtual) to meet the needs of the organization, ensure training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective, and maintain knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the organization and/or industry. This position will also identify problems and opportunities such as operational changes or industry developments that training could improve and collaborate with vendors and third-party training providers to arrange employee registration for and participation in outside training programs. Essential Functions: In order to perform this job, you must demonstrate, either by training or experience: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong graphic design ability • Thorough understanding of training processes. • Ability to moderate large groups. • Extremely organized and detail oriented. • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software Responsibilities: • Supervise, develop, and provide leadership to employees and supervisors of an assigned area, department, or project(s). • Review tasks and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance. • Develop processes to ensure completion of tasks in support of an assigned area, department, or project(s). • Communicate with employees, contractors, vendors, and/or customers to assist an assigned area, department, or project(s). • Additional Duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or 5 years of related work experience. • Previous supervisory and/or managerial experience. • Project management skills including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks. • Authorized to work in the United States. • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check. Workplace Environment and Physical Demands: To be considered for this position, a candidate must possess the ability to sit for long periods of time, while using repetitive and/or fine hand movements to complete computer related tasks and/or other office functions. Work is performed both inside and outside in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and precipitation, and in rugged terrain such as back easements, rural locations and at active construction sites. Noise level can range from moderate to loud and from intermediate to constant.
