Company in Carlsbad, CA is NOW HIRING an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee all areas of building and grounds maintenance
Description:
• Ensures that the facility is fully operational with all utilities functioning properly.
• Ensures emergency preparedness procedures are implemented
• Overseas site security needs
• Determine the need for repairs or renovations by inspecting buildings’ structures and facilities
• Coordinate repairs involving basic electrical, mechanical, and plumbing system
• Safety Leader; communicate workplace safety precautions to employees
• Perform activities conforming with EH&S Policy, applicable regulatory, company EH&S rules and requirements
• Operate and control heavy machinery such as a forklift to move materials around a work site
• Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors
• Place POs for maintenance and equipment to support facilities
• In charge of Preventive Maintenance program for facility; includes procedure documentation and execution
• In charge of Company Truck repairs and maintenance
• Support with Material/Equipment Transportation
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience as a Facilities Manager or equivalent related functions
• Fork-lift certificate a plus
• Experience in project management and people management
• Must be well organized, detailed-oriented, and a self-starter
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak with all employees and vendors
• Experience in Medical Device/Pharmaceutical Environment
• Experience with Cleanroom environments a plus
• Knowledge of OSHA and other environmental regulations
• Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities management
• Proficiency with repair tools and techniques
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• BS/BA/AA degree in technical field, construction or project management
• Clean room class 8 experience (design, validation, and maintenance)
• Laser safety lab design
• HVAC installation/repair/maintenance/control systems
• Back-up generator knowledge
