　　What You'll Do

　　BGC's Risk & Compliance Practice Area (R&C) offers state-of-the-art Operational, Compliance, ESG, and regulatory risk management solutions. Our team is dedicated to support our clients in developing a strategy for identifying and managing, operational, cyber & digital, compliance, anti-financial crime, anti-corruption & bribery, sanctions, fraud, human rights and environmental risks. We work with leaders in various industries and seek to marry effectiveness and efficiency by focusing on the fundamental economics of their businesses and the underlying needs of their customers. Our Practice Area completed 100+ programs in recent years, including design, steering and implementation and created impact aligned with our values and leading with integrity approach.

　　We are looking to expand our breadth and depth of Operational Risk expertise within our Risk and Compliance Practice Area at both the Expert Project Leader level and the Expert Associate Director level.

　　As an Expert Project Leader, you will be integrated into a BCG team and leverage your deep expertise on projects that reshape businesses. You will be given end-to-end responsibility for large and complex "modules" within a BCG project and may lead small but high-impact teams to drive results for our clients. You will work closely with clients to understand their issues, create strategies for change, and win buy-in for your recommendations, while also collaborating with colleagues on complex client issues. Your expertise will be valued by senior clients and you will help build and contribute to BCG's intellectual capital while spending significant time supporting and executing case work.

　　As an Associate Director, you will be recognized by clients as an expert in your area and be seen internally as one of the faces of your topic. You will team with senior BCG leadership to generate significant growth in strategic priority areas. You will be directly involved in project execution to increase the value generated to clients, while playing a vital role in helping to build intellectual capital and the BCG brand. While continuing to play an important role in supporting and executing client work, Associate Directors transfer knowledge to a team around them (including traditional consultants)-hiring, coaching, and mentoring junior team members to support your area of expertise.

　　YOU'RE GOOD AT

　　Leading/working cohesively with hybrid case teams consisting of operational risks consultants, including but not limited to technology, cyber, data, reputational, regulatory, compliance and change management risks.

　　Developing operational risk management strategies, governance structures, policies, processes, and procedures.

　　Conducting risk assessments including control gap analysis and developing remediation roadmap.

　　Good understanding of regulations, industry standards, and leading practices related the area of operational risks.

　　Effectively interacting and communicating with risk management leaders, and senior business leaders.

　　Our Expert Consulting Track (ECT)

　　The Expert Consulting Track (ECT) is vital to BCG's ability to successfully meet our clients' demand for deep expertise and advanced technical capabilities. Experts deliver next-level impact for BCG's most complex and cutting-edge client challenges. Experts focus on developing BCG's thought leadership, commercial capabilities, and intellectual property assets; and their work is essential to our delivery model. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to bring the 'best of BCG' to our clients, Experts come from diverse backgrounds, with expertise often gained outside of BCG in industry, academia, or specialized consulting.

　　What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)

　　At least 10 - 15 years of top tier industry and/or consulting experience focused on operational risk consulting, developing risk strategy, driving risk transformation program, defining governance models, risk mitigation, and implementation of operational controls.

　　Knowledge and experience on developing, establishing and/or managing models for risk assurance, transforming line 1 and 2 risk practices, continuous risk practice improvements, monitoring risk treatment plans, developing risk and control frameworks, policies and process, and application of these to business decisions.

　　Broad knowledge of GRC technologies to manage operational risks.

　　Experience of working in a complex environment in financial services, and/or an industry which has tangible operational risk issues.

　　Ability to write proposals, reports and develop client presentations.

　　Ability to present to senior management groups for both training and reporting purposes.

　　Excellent communication, client facing and consulting skills.

　　Relevant tertiary qualification (Minimum of a Bachelor's degree).

　　You preferably have applicable risk management certifications.

　　Flexibility and willingness to travel to our client locations in the Australia and beyond.

　　Applicants with Australian citizenship will be eligible to commence an Australian government security clearance. Those with a current Baseline, NV1, NV2 or PV will be advantageous.

　　* You must be based in one of our offices in Australia or New Zealand: Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Canberra and Auckland. The specific location is flexible, although the majority of Risk and Compliance team members are located in Sydney or Melbourne.
