Bloomberg News is looking for a senior editor to help lead its ESG and climate coverage in APAC. The successful candidate will fulfil a variety of roles. You will work closely with our ESG reporters to chronicle the climate finance story in Asia; you will commission and execute big-picture enterprise and investigative stories across the climate file; and you will partner with key teams around the newsroom, most notably our Energy/ Commodities group.

You will also work with regional editors to help channel our best climate work from Asia into our suite of Green newsletters, podcasts and documentaries.

We’ll trust you to:

Work with reporters across teams and bureaus to help them break news and develop ideas into long-form stories

Show a deep curiosity in the financial implications of climate change, from insurance to catastrophe bonds and green debt

Bring your own ideas for stories that are relevant to discerning readers in Asia and around the world

You’ll need to have:

At least 5 years of experience in journalism, preferably covering economics, financial markets or business news

Experience working in a real-time news environment

An appetite for scoops

Experience with story-telling across a range of platforms, including print, digital and graphics

Collaborative attitude and effective communication skills

Proficiency in both spoken and written English

Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organisation
