Also involves some exposure to risk of injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; and exposure to hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, cuts/punctures, and blood-borne or airborne pathogens.ShiftDay Shift, Monday - Friday; occasional weekends/holidays per department needsJob Summary UK HealthCare is seeking a highly motivated pharmacist for an oncology pharmacist position at Markey Cancer Center at UK HealthCare. The pharmacist makes clinical interventions in terms of patient education, clinical pharmacokinetic/anti-coagulation/immunosuppressant monitoring, drug information, cost-effective care analysis, direct patient care, and interacs with pharmacy residents and students. This position will rotate between inpatient and outpatient infusion settings with duties including chemotherapy order verification, oversight of sterile hazardous compounding in accordance with USP 797/800, and collaboration with nursing and physician colleagues regarding drug therapy administration. The ideal candidate will have graduated from an ACPE-accredited school/college of pharmacy, completed an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency (or equivalent experience), and must be eligible for licensure in Kentucky. The starting pay for this position was recently adjusted. The minimum salary for this position will now be $104,697/year.
