Description:
• Manage fabrication, assembly, wiring, testing and quality assurance of various types of application equipment utilized in the refractory industry. Equipment types include material handling and application systems such as pneumatic conveyors, dry powder screw feed hoppers, robotics, automated systems, mixers, pumping devices, combustion systems.
• 10% travel required to client sites for equipment start up
• communicating with machine design engineers and customers to solve and troubleshoot issues with machine assembly and install, bridging a technical gap from engineer to customer to technicians
• Installation and setup of equipment ensuring it is properly configured and calibrated for its intended application.
• Troubleshooting when equipment malfunctions or experiences issues. Diagnose problems, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to get the equipment back to working condition.
• Ensuring that equipment is capable of delivering accurate and consistent results.
• Remain up-to-date with relevant regulations, standards, and compliance requirements in the refractories field to ensure equipment adheres to these guidelines.
• Maintain records of equipment maintenance, repair history, and any changes made to the
equipment. This documentation is essential for tracking performance and ensuring compliance.
• Equipment Upgrades and Optimization: As technology evolves, specialists may be involved in evaluating and implementing equipment upgrades and optimizations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Track equipment inventory, order replacement parts, and manage the procurement of new equipment.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect all users.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
MUST HAVE:
2 year engineering degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
strong welding and fabrication knowledge
strong knowledge of electrical and pneumatic control circuits, AC and DC voltage
ability to troubleshoot issues through mechanical or electrical assembly process
hands on experience with mechanics, industrial machinery, etc.
