Description:
Local service shop center is seeking a mechanic to help repair and service heavy equipment. Will perform service and repair procedures on truck-mounted vacuum equipment both in the shop and in the field.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum three (3) years, verifiable experience as a mechanic.
Prefer candidates that were formerly heavy equipment mechanics, hydraulic, trailer or construction mechanics. Even mechanics on a farm could be someone that that they would look at for opportunities
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
Effectively read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics
Perform all scheduled PM inspections of chassis, vacuum body, hydraulic, electrical, air and water systems
Conduct all repairs within DOT or OEM standards and service to return rental equipment "Ready to Rent" status
Performs and document "check in" and "check out" inspections of fleet equipment
Possess solid understanding of the function, operation, and maintenance of truck-mounted vacuum equipment preferred
Must demonstrate solid understanding of mechanical and hydraulic system and electrical troubleshooting
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical data, drawings, and schematics
Ability to administer DOT inspections
Pay/Shift:
$58k-$66k/yr
Day shift - either 8 AM - 5 PM or 7 AM - 4 PM. Monday through Friday with some call outs but no weekend work
