The role we are offering you:
By joining our hardware R&D engineering team of CAE Healthcare, you will have the opportunity to learn real-time embedded Linux and microcontroller programming using C and C++ programming languages. Are you ready to:
Support programming real-time firmware application in C and/or C++
Assemble basic electronics setup to perform test and feasibility of a design concept
Assist team to preform test and validation of embedded system
Assist QA team to troubleshooting and resolving embedded system challenging design issues
Gain insight into several technologies like Bluetooth low energy, 802.15.4, Embedded Linux, ARM microcontroller programming
Work in a multi-disciplined team consisting of firmware, electrical, mechanical and software engineering professionals
Our ideal candidate has:
Proficiency in C and C++ with exposure to embedded microcontrollers and devices
Ability to learn and support design, implement, test and document embedded systems
General understanding of git or other version control tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Problem solving skills and a strong drive to excel
Customer driven and results oriented
Bilingualism
Basic knowledge of Linux operating system, STM32 (any other Cortex-M ARM series) microcontroller, Arduino, Teensy, KEIL IDE is an asset
University project or courses on embedded system is an asset
Preferred Education
A 2nd or 3rd year student in enrolled in Electronic or Computer Engineering programLocation of the internship is CAE Headquarters (Montreal).
Internship will be carried out in hybrid mode.
*All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and must meet the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP). All hires will be required to complete, sign and return the Controlled Goods Program form within a week of its transmittal. They must also provide a copy of their passport or birth certificate. All students with a work permit must provide a copy of it and a police clearance certificate from the country or countries where they have resided in the past five years.
*Please take note that if you are on a student, work or international student permit, the delays for the security background check take minimum 12 weeks.
