　　Position Summary

　　Xylem is looking for a Field Service Technician to service our customer sites in the Birmingham, AL area.

　　What your day will look like as a Field Service Technician

　　The Field Service Technician will be responsible for maintaining our water treatment equipment at our customer sites. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, various pumps, valves, motors, and filters. Equipment specific training will be provided. Willing to train the right person, but previous technical/mechanical/plumbing experience is especially encouraged.

　　This position has general day shift hours Monday-Friday with overtime opportunities and a compensated on-call rotation with occasional afternoons/weekends.

　　Creates and maintains safe working environment and cultures within the organization

　　Trouble shoots systems for mechanical, electrical equipment conditions

　　Identify and remedy safety issues both Company and Customer owned equipment

　　Direct interfacing with customers

　　Potentially at multiple sites with multiple technologies

　　Position Requirements

　　FORMAL EDUCATION:

　　Required:

　　HS diploma or equivalentKNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

　　Required:

　　Ability to obtain TWIC card

　　One year of work experience preferred

　　0-2 years technical experience

　　Experience with Microsoft office including smart devices

　　Must have customer service experience

　　Demonstrates critical thinking and trouble shooting ability

　　Able to pass background check & pre-employment drug screen

　　Usually works with direct supervision but can work independently if needed
