　　Basic Job Functions:

　　The role of the Electrical Utility is to hone electrical skills learned in the classroom by working hands-on in an electrical maintenance department in an effort to meet the necessary qualifications to be an electrician III at Nucor Steel Arkansas. The person in this role must be able to take direction and determine a course of action to be able to complete the electrician III requirements.

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　Ability to read electrical schematics

　　Some related industrial electrical maintenance and automation experience in a manufacturing facility OR equivalent electrical training OR equivalent military experience

　　Ability to use electrical test equipment

　　Ability to follow trouble-shooting procedures for electrical systems and equipment

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　Experience performing routine and corrective maintenance on motors, controllers and process measuring devices or equivalent training

　　Preferred courses include Basic Electricity I & II, Computer Fundamentals, Industrial Motor Controls, & Programmable Logic Controllers.

　　Practical understanding of what a PLC and HMI are.

　　Practical understanding of drives and motors

　　Hydraulic and pneumatic experience
