　　Position Summary:

　　We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a EEG Technologist. In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for routine EEG, simple studies and the associated administrative paperwork. Under close supervision of a physician or a more senior technologist may perform critical or complex studies for immediate diagnosis as needed.

　　Job Responsibilities:

　　Performs other duties as assigned.Performs routine EEG studies. Adheres to laboratory guidelines for impedance testing and montage selection.Collects information on the patient's history, current medications, and a description of current seizures for the technical report.Completes appropriate paperwork for each patient including those required for department statistical and billing purposes. Ensure reports are accurate and prepared timely for the physician to review.Reviews studies performed with supervising physician on a regular basis.Participates in conferences related to EEG in the department.Cleans electrodes and maintains equipment.Minimum Qualifications:

　　To qualify, you must have a High School diploma, required. Current and valid BLS or CPR Certification is required. ABRET (American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists) EEG certification within 5 years of hire for all hires on or after 1/1/16. 1 year performing EEG studies OR completion of an accredited or formalized program OR a Bachelor's degree in a related field. Strong communication skills are required.

　　NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $72,990.30 - $84,304.09 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
