SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE AND FUNCTION:
The Digital (Website) Analytics Manager will be responsible for establishing and growing VCA’s web analytics practice with the goal of providing ongoing actionable insights to key stakeholders across the business for our portfolio of digital experiences (hospital sites, corporate site, eCommerce and myVCA patient portal). The ideal candidate for this role will be a subject matter expert in web analytics and will be responsible for delivering best-in-class analytics aimed at understanding traffic, user behavior, engagement and conversion trends, as well as proactively identifying conversion rate optimization opportunities to champion for execution.
The Digital (Web) Analytics Manager is a hands-on practitioner that has a natural curiosity about the consumer and is driven to find insights through data to deliver improved outcomes that help create an industry-leading digital experience. Action-oriented and motivated by consumer psychology, this role thrives on results and is well-equipped to articulate complex data in a compelling manner to help deliver on consumers’ needs while moving the business forward within the digital space.
Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:
Define best practice approaches for analyzing digital/web user behavior, configuring digital analytics technology and data interpretation and visualization.
Own reporting structure for all key stakeholders associated with all aspects of funnel, conversion and browsing behavior across mobile and desktop sites.
Build strong cross-functional relationships to become a trusted advisor for digital analytics, site changes, digital campaigns and new initiatives.
Drive test strategies and testing plans, utilizing various testing methodologies and web automation tools.
Working with the technical team, support the maintenance and development of web analytics platforms to identify gaps in data capture strategy and implement enhancements.
Act as liaison between business, marketing and technology teams to ensure all stakeholder analytics requirements are captured and accurately documented to inform implementation roadmaps. Provide GA tracking and implementation requirements for new technical enhancements.
Manage multiple initiatives, work streams and priorities within a fast-paced environment while also managing expectations across teams and departments.
Data & Performance Metrics
Develop analytically sound approaches to answering business questions.
Research and analyze business trends and customer behavior data to identify opportunities for digital ecosystem enhancements.
Work with internal and external partners to develop performance measurement plans for new digital experiences, products and campaigns; define targets, key performance metrics and deliverables; communicate performance results to key stakeholders.
Decipher, analyze and synthesize large volumes of data and address complex questions into clear analyses and actionable findings to inform and strengthen optimization and personalization efforts, strategic decisions and digital roadmap.
Build actionable analyses on category and site merchandising performance to produce quality insights, drive digital business strategies and maximize revenue opportunities.
Conduct ad-hoc analysis and reporting for internal stakeholders.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Computer Science, BI or other related fields with emphasis in Marketing/Digital Measurement.
5+ years working in web analytics
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, Excel and Power BI.
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
Proven experience with:
Universal Analytics, Google Analytics 4, Google Data Studio, Power BI
Coding language like SQL to transform, manipulate and analyze data

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Ability to synthesize data into actionable insights and effectively communicate recommendations to leadership.
Demonstrated skills in deriving insight from data to identify areas on site that can benefit from testing and optimization.
Working knowledge of site and conversion rate optimization, usability and UX.
Experience translating between business/marketing KPI requirements and technical specs.
Ability to autonomously identify opportunities for advanced analytics or data products.
Proven success with digital analytics and attribution.
Proficiency with visualization tools such as Data Studio and Power BI; ability to translate data and insights via story-telling to non-SMEs.
Knowledge of and experience with A/B testing, multivariate testing, personalization testing and targeting.
Experience with marketing, web, media tracking and advertising technologies like Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager, Optimizely and others.
Familiarity with a subscription-model business (traffic, conversion rate, churn, etc.) and eCommerce is a plus.

Additional Information
Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $76,700 - $115,100.
