　　The Design & Construction Division of the Department of Buildings &General Services (BGS) is seeking a Program Chief to lead amulti-functional team responsible for delivering internal services tothe division. The internal services team includes contract specialists,CADD support, plan review, construction administration, andcommunications coordination. The Program Chief will also oversee projectmanagement staff and be responsible for guiding project managers throughthe planning, design, bidding, and construction phases of projectdelivery. The Program Chief will be required to enhance collaborationand communication with all BGS divisions including Operations &Maintenance, and Planning & Property Management. Candidates must havethe ability to establish effective working relationships and thrive in afast-paced and changing environment with a high degree of independenceand leadership.

　　Environmental Factors

　　Duties are normally performed in the office and only occasionally infield settings. Attendance at public meetings as a representative of theDepartment may be required. Some public speaking may be necessary.Duties may not always adhere to a standard daily or weekly schedule.Some exposure to adverse climate conditions and adversarial opinions athearings, is predictable. Exposure to potential dangers and adverseconditions exist when visiting correctional facilities.
