We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Demand Planner who will be responsible for driving the infrastructure planning process. This is a multi-functional and strategic role, where you will be collaborating with services engineering, hardware engineering operations and finance teams. At Apple, we’re not all the same. Key Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in business planning, operations, supply chain, or related fields
Strong verbal/written skills with an ability to distill complex ideas into concise, high impact communications
Experience presenting to senior leadership, up to and including VP level
Able to manage through ambiguity and respond quickly to new requirements and data in a highly dynamic environment
Advanced modeling and predictive analytical skills; "Advanced User" of MS Excel with deep understanding of Excel techniques. VBA, Python, SQL, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools a plus.
Proven cross-functional program management skills with an ability to rapidly develop a solid understanding in new areas quickly
Deep understanding of various cloud architectures (e.g. micro-services vs monolithic) and associated operations models strongly preferred
Able to influence in a multi-functional matrix organization
Self starter mentality with a strong leadership drive
Description
In this position, we drive the planning process for Apple Services to support Apple’s applications, including customer-facing ones like iCloud, Apple Pay and Media. We are a small team dedicated to building out the Cloud Demand Planning function. You’ll work with multi-functional business partners to aggregate demand. In this role, you will: Own, define and build the entire suite of reporting for infrastructure requirements, which will drive actionable insights on infrastructure planning and product deployment Propose strategies on how to optimize the planning and delivery of those infrastructure requirements, including buffer assessment, inventory management and liability management Work with managers and directors to review requirements, schedules and analyses in order to acquire approval for procuring and deploying infrastructure Manage risks, schedules, and partners to successfully launch infrastructure programs supporting a wide array of Apple services Build and drive process implementation and outlining requirements for new tool development Work closely with Infrastructure Software Dev Platform team for ongoing improvements to automate capacity models with intent to reduce reliance on Excel based planning tools Integrate various capacity planning practices to ensure capacity models used across larger properties demonstrate comparable methodologies, tools and process flows.
Education & Experience
BA/BS degree in business, operations, finance, engineering, or a related field

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $160,700.00 and $282,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
