Responsibilities: Direct delivery toestablished customers including restaurants, schools, grocery stores,country clubs, etc. Processing returns and damages from the customer.Completing all daily paperwork and preparation for the next deliveryday. Operating company provided equipment in a safe manner. Being theface of V Marchese, Inc. to our customers and the public. Obey trafficlaws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures. Turnin receipts and money received from deliveries. Read maps and followwritten or verbal geographic directions. Verify the contents ofinventory loads against shipping papers. Load and unload trucks, vans,or automobiles. Drive vehicles with capacities under three tons totransport materials to and from specified destinations, such as railroadstations, plants, residences, offices, or within industrial yards.Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billingstatements, in accordance with regulations. Inspect and maintain vehiclesupplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, orbrakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition. Presentbills and receipts and collect payments for goods delivered or loaded.Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles. Performemergency repairs, such as changing tires or installing light bulbs,fuses, tire chains, or spark plugs. Report delays, accidents, or othertraffic and transportation situations to bases or other vehicles, usingtelephones or mobile two-way radios. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE ANDQUALIFICATIONS: Valid driver\'s license at the time of hire andthroughout employment. Excellent driving record as determined by thecompany. Must be able to read, write and understand English. Independentand highly motivated individual. Strong communication skills. Bilinguala plus. Flexibility in scheduling with the ability to start early in themorning. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Mustcomply with all Federal DOT regulations. Customer Service experience ishighly desirable. Must be able to obtain a Medical Exam Certificate (FEDMED).
