Entravision Montevideo Uruguay is seeking a Data Engineer
We are looking for a data engineer to join our team at Entravision, Montevideo, Uruguay. This is a full-time position and in a hybrid format. Please note that the company does not sponsor work VISAs.
Job Responsibilities:
Depending on the level of experience, responsibilities may include:
Development and optimization of SQL queries
Working with OLAP databases such as Snowflake or Redshift
Use of BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Microstrategy)
Use of ETL tools (Fivetran, Stitch, Rivery, Airbyte)
Handling cloud storage (S3, Blob)
Creation and maintenance of batch and cron jobs
Job Requirements:
Level I:
1 - 2 years of SQL experience
Experience with OLAP databases such as Snowflake or Redshift
Experience with a BI tool (Tableau, PowerBI, Microstrategy)
Experience with an ETL tool (Fivetran, Stitch, Rivery, Airbyte)
Cloud Storage (S3, Blob)
Batch and Cron Jobs
Level II (in addition to Level I):
3+ years of SQL experience
Experience making API calls in Python, Curl, Postman
Ability to write testable production code in a scripting language (Python, Scala, Java)
Experience using JIRA Software and Confluence
Strong understanding of an Agile work environment and Agile SDLC
Data serialization formats (CSV, JSON, XML, Parquet, Avro, YAML)
Level III (in addition to Level II):
Exposure to transformation tool like DBT
Experience with orchestrator tools such as Airflow or Luigi
Data architecture and modeling (Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault)
Experience with DevOps: CI/CD, deployment, orchestration, and control systems such as Git
Familiar with cloud technologies. AWS preferred.
Level IV (in addition to Level III):
Understanding of NoSQL databases
Familiar with data governance strategies and tools
Experience with big data analytics engines such as Apache Spark, Data Bricks, Elasticsearch, and Presto
Knowledge of data streaming best practices and tools (Kafka, Kinesis)
