Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints and drawings and process work orders by due dates.Perform inspection to ensure equipment is in safe operating condition; perform daily cleaning and light maintenance on machinery/tools.Calibrate each machine at required intervalsLoading and unloading, sort and load glass onto the machine for completion, following all safety policies and proceduresSet up machines to have the correct fabrication specifications for glass ordersUse edging machine, dolly, crane, glass cup, tape measure, pliers, glass cutter, and other tools.Inspect all glass for defects such as chips, bubbles, scratches, blown holes, good edge work, etc.Complete daily worksheets and forms, including quality testingOther duties as assignedRequirementsMust at least be 18 years oldPreferred one year of machine operator experienceManual lifting requirements 75 lbs. regularlyRead and perform calculations and measurements with numbers, fractions, and decimalsDetail-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environmentBasic computer knowledgeQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
