Job Description

　　* The Cyber Security SME will have the following responsibilities:

　　o Analyze and comprehend complex network security architectures to identify vulnerabilities and recommend security enhancements.

　　o Demonstrate expertise in understanding and implementing trusted and secure operating systems, as well as security kernels.

　　o Provide an in-depth, expert-level understanding of the OSI layer model to ensure robust network security strategies.

　　o Apply expert-level knowledge of cryptography and PKI to safeguard sensitive information across the organization.

　　o Conduct thorough computer and network forensic investigations to trace the source of cyber threats and mitigate potential risks.

　　o Engage in real-world defensive cyber operations to proactively strengthen the organization's cyber defense mechanisms. Offensive Cyber optional is useful but not required

　　o Perform technical and operational risk assessments, offering strategic solutions to mitigate identified risks.

　　o Utilize knowledge of reverse engineering to analyze malware and other malicious code, contributing to the development of countermeasures and threat prevention strategies.

　　Skills and Requirements

　　Education:

　　* BA or BS

　　Required Experience:

　　* Minimum of 10 years' experience

　　Required Technical Skills:

　　* Broad knowledge of Cyber Security disciplines both offensive and defensive

　　* Expert level Networking knowledge both on prem and Cloud based and understand applicable Cyber Security best practices (FW, DNS, Exchange, Azure, AWS, etc.)

　　* Expert understanding of common components of an enterprise security stack including FW, IDS AV, DLP,IAM, SIEM, Endpoint detection, web and email security, etc.

　　* Solid understanding incident response and detection

　　* Demonstrated experience with the OSI model and a clear understanding of each layer's functions and vulnerabilities

　　**Local to DMV Area- one day a week on-site in Lanham, MD (possibility for fully remote) null
