As COLSA’s latest Systems and Operations Analyst, you will join the MSIC IT Team in supporting ongoing projects to maintain and upgrade by tracking projects and documenting requirements to ensure no task gets lost in the shuffle. In addition, you will be supporting the Linux systems powering and accessing our High-Performance Computer (HPC) Systems.
Responsibilities & Essential Functions
Create, update, and support documentation of guidelines, procedures, standards, and controls .
Perform system administration tasks such as managing user/group, security permissions, and policies .
Monitor system health using existing management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise.
Generate reports and records for project -related parts lists and costs.

Required SkillsRequired Experience
Associate's degree (or equivalent experience) in a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) field with a minimum of 2 years of related experience

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) field with a minimum of 5 to 8 years of related experience
A ctive DoD Secret Clearance with TS/SCI eligibility and must be able to successfully obtain a Counterintelligence (CI) Scope Polygraph within 180 days of hire .
Certified at DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II ( CompTIA Security+ CE , ISC2 SSCP , or equivalent ) .
Hardware troubleshooting ( Power , Mainboard , CPUs , PCIe , RAM , Local Storage , Network ).
Linux workstation and/or server operating system administration ( RHEL 8/9 , Rocky 8/9 , CentOS 7/8 ).
Operations ( Project Analysis , Project Tracking , Program Analysis , Resource Management ) .
U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
A ctive DoD Top Secret Clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information Access (TS//SCI) and Counterintelligence (CI) Scope Polygraph .
Containerized workload management ( Apptainer , Docker , Kubernetes , OpenShift , Podman ).
HPC Scheduling ( Slurm , Torque , PBS ).
Programming/scripting in high-level languages ( C , C++ , Perl , Python , Bash , PowerShell ).
