The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a Cruise Missile Systems (CMS) Production Engineering Manager located in Saint Charles, MO . This role will manage a diverse team of employees performing engineering and technical Production Engineering activities. Areas of responsibility include industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, and liaison engineering.
The Production Engineering team is a key function in the rate readiness for our services and allies across the globe. This position will help ensure we are readied when needed to support our troops and allies. The innovations and improvements the Production Engineering team makes daily are incredibly impactful and noticed by our business leaders.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Production Engineering.
Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
Manages, develops and motivates employees.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
Work Authorization:
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor degree or higher in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
5+ years of Production Engineering experience
5+ years of experience in management or leading teams
1+ years of experience within the Boeing Production system including engineering, planning, logistics, tooling, test equipment, support equipment, functional test, and flight
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Management experience or two years of leadership of cross functional team preferred
Possess strong communication skills
Be flexible & adaptable in a diverse & demanding environment
Be able to interact positively with people throughout Boeing & the customer base
Experience managing employees performing any of industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, tool engineering, equipment engineering, liaison engineering activities
Experience with aircraft design, assembly, integration, test and support

Summary pay range: 129,200 – 174,800
