Disclosure of Job Opportunity: 6 Temporary Fulltime Positions Available(Dates of Need: 04/01/2024 through 01/05/2025)
Position: Cook.
Duties:Prepare, season, bake, roast, broil, steam, and cook dishes suchas soups, meats, vegetables, or desserts in restaurants. Portion,arrange, and garnish food to be serve. Wash, peel, cut, and seed fruitsand vegetables to prepare them for consumption. Perform a variety offood preparation duties other than cooking. Ensure freshness of food andingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items,and rotating stock. Ensure food is stored and cooked at correcttemperature by regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, androasters. Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment(pots, pans, dishes, and utensils), work surfaces, serving areas, andload and unload dishwashers, to ensure safe and sanitary food-handlingpractices.
Requirements: One year of experience as a cook.
Fulltime: Employer will offer a minimum of no less than 35 hours perweek. Open 7-days a week (holidays included). Shifts: 8am to 4pm; 4pm to11pm; and 10am to 9pm (with 1-hour break). Shift schedule start and endtimes and days off vary depending on work demand.
Overtime: As Needed Only.
On the Job Training: N/A.
Wage Offer: Workers will be paid no less than \$18 per hour; returningworkers and workers with more experience may be paid higher wage ratesranging between \$18 to \$24 per hour. Overtime wage depends on salaryand ranges between \$27 to \$36 per hour. Paid bi-weekly. Will usesingle workweek as standard for computing wages due.
Housing:Optional assisted local shared employee housing may be availablewithin walking distance from work. Based on availability, we giveoptions for shared or individual rooms with shared bathrooms andkitchen. Cost of housing is \$150 per week for shared rooms and \$225per week for personal rooms. Housing will be paid via payroll deduction.
Deductions: Employer will make all deductions from workers paycheckrequired by law; optional assisted employee housing.
Benefits: Kitchen employees get their meal in the kitchen for free forcertain items during workdays (on their day off days it is 30% off).
Transportation and subsistence to the place of employment: If the workercompletes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will arrange andpay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place ofrecruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contractor where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide orpay for workers reasonable costs of return transportation andsubsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed towork, except where the worker will not return due to subsequentemployment with another employer or where the employer has appropriatelyreported a workers voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount oftransportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the mosteconomical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.Daily meals will be provided at a rate of \$ 15.46 per day during travelto a maximum of \$59 per day with receipts.
Visa and visa-related expenses: Workers will be reimbursed in the firstworkweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and otherrelated fees, including those mandated by the government (exceptpassport fees).
Tools: Will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, andequipment required to perform the job.
