Applications Engineering Intern

Job Description

​​​​​Assist with the proof-of-concept application development of Renesas SOC products in the next generation of automotive and industrial end equipment.

Hands-on support solving customer technical issues with the use of Renesas SoC products.

Collaborate internally with global engineering teams in product requirement analysis, technical reviews, benchmarking, and troubleshooting efforts.

Extend practical knowledge and experience in automotive/industrial technologies and the semiconductor industry including automated driving, advanced driver assist system, in-vehicle infotainment and cluster, AI Edge computation, and tools.

Qualifications

Candidate must be Major in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering for a bachelor's or higher degree.

GPA 3.0+ Candidate must be in Michigan OR Texas (willing to relocate to Michigan).

100% on-site internship.

Strong Programming skills in C, C++, and Python.

Experience in Linux, Embedded software, and microprocessors.

Experience RTOS – preferable.

Knowledge of the Automobile industry – preferable

Excellent interpersonal skills are mandatory.

Must be a team player to contribute to innovative projects.

Passionate about new technologies, and eager to apply academic knowledge to deal with real world problems.
