This permanent position is for a Controller who will work in the Santa Fe, New Mexico region.

　　Responsibilities include planning and directing all accounting operational functions, handling the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluating accounting and internal control systems, and leading departmental staff. Candidates who know how to effectively manage self and others within strict time constraints when providing client services will do well in this role along with creative types who can lead while also being a team player, generate innovative ideas, and challenge the status quo. 　　What you get to do every single day

　　Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques

　　Give financial reports to executive committee and partners each month

　　Occasionally perform duties beyond formal job responsibilities

　　Support Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, with research, planning, and implementation, as required

　　Manage finance department operations, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

　　Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis

　　Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them monthly

　　Reviews deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations

　　Collaborate with executive team and partners to make efficient and effective firm-wide operation possible

　　Prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, daily cash management

　　Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

　　Requirements

　　Ideal candidate will have:

　　Progressive accounting experience, including 3 years as a Controller

　　Proficiency in AppFolio highly desirable

　　Demonstrated knowledge of Monthly Closings

　　General familiarity with Monthly Consolidation

　　Practical knowledge of Monthly Financial Close

　　Monthly Accruals experience highly desired

　　Commercial Real Estate - REIT's experience preferred

　　Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent

　　Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

　　Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

　　Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills

　　Outstanding technology, analytics and management experience required

　　CPA or MBA helpful

　　BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
