About the Position: The purpose of the position is to serve as a Contract Specialist with the Army Contracting Command located at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, within the Space, Missile Defense, & Special Programs (SMD&SP) Directorate, Secure Environment Contracting (SEC) Division of the Army Contracting Command-Redstone (ACC-RSA) Responsibilities Review procurement work directives and procurement data packages for regulatory compliances. Basic Requirement for Contract Specialist: Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: One year of specialized experience which includes:1) Performing all aspects of the procurement cycle such as formal advertising, evaluating proposals, contract negotiations, execution, and administration of supplies, equipment, services, construction and/or special assigned programs; 2) Performing pre-award and post award procedures to plan and conduct the contracting process; AND 3) Developing procurement packages to meet the needs of the agency.
