Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The position will coordinate all efforts related to the University’s business continuity program including working with the Director of Emergency Management to set strategic priorities; managing the business continuity planning management software (University Resiliency Planner); engaging individual departments in meetings and orientations; and guiding departments through the plan development process.
The Continuity and Resiliency Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the University’s Business Continuity (continuity of operations) program. This includes setting program direction and overseeing the development of individual departmental plans. The Coordinator acts as a consultant to individual departments and units during plan development and implementation. In addition, the Coordinator is responsible for oversight of the overall University business continuity.
Minimum Experience / Education:
Bachelor’s degree and three years experience in business continuity and resiliency, emergency management, risk management, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong time management, organization, and communication skills.
Experience in drafting after-action reports and improvement plans.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
Advanced Degree preferred.
Five years experience in business continuity and resiliency (or related field).
Actual experience in emergency/disaster operations is highly beneficial.
Experience in higher education.
Applicable NIMS / ICS training.
Applicable other credentials: CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional); CEM (Certificate in Emergency Management); CPM (Certificate in Project Management); ARM (Associate in Risk Management); CRM (Certified Risk Manager).
