As a Consulting Systems Engineer (CSE), you will be partnering with Client Executives and Client Managers to provide the technical Pre-Sales work for some of the largest customers, across all verticals. No two days will be the same as our broad offerings include products and services in Infrastructure Modernization, Multi-cloud Architecture, Security Transformation and Digital Strategy among others. What will you be doing?
The Consulting Systems Engineer (CSE) role will bring technical Pre-Sales experience to our customers within the local market. Day to day responsibilities will include working with the account team to uncover opportunities, participation in customer sales meetings, presentations, white board sessions and custom technical design and services scoping work. The CSE will team with local Client Executives and Client Managers to build customer relationships, partner with multiple OEM's and take part in technical training to provide continued value to the customers. Technical expertise expansion is highly encouraged as you look to learn about new areas of interest and be on the forefront of cutting edge technologies. This position will require the ability to travel up to 25%.
Responsibilities:
Aligns with WWT Sales team to represent WWT's abilities and expertise to all assigned accounts.Works with our clients and the WWT Sales team to understand technical priorities, challenges, and initiatives that can be translated into WWT Networking, Data Center, Security and Multi-cloud solutions.Responsible for the coordination, delivery, and quality of presales deliverables within the domain of the opportunity which may include items such as presentations, architectural diagrams, and proposals.Manages and achieves a sales gross profit number.Develops and fosters relationships with strategic original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and key networking partners who are local to your region and/or territory.Assists in Statement of Work and Proof of Concept review and development.Ensures that proposed solutions, meet the needs and functional requirements of the customer.Represent the WWT brand through thought leadership in the local market.Building and leading a pursuit team to create the right solution and present it to the client.
Qualifications:
Candidates must live in the NY/ NJ/ Eastern PA area8+ years of enterprise technology experience and 2+ years of Pre-Sales experience.Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience and/or OEM certificationsExcellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.Ability to take a consultative approach to technical sales.Passion and Strong experience with multiple of the following disciplines: Route/Switch, Security, Digital Workspace, Wireless, Cloud Networking, Automation, and Collaboration.Leadership skills demonstrated while working in a complex matrix organization.Consultative presence and technical credibility.Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Zscaler, certifications highly desired.Passion for meeting with clients and partners in-person.

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $160K to $180K. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.
