Description
This dynamic team is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) professional to join their growing Construction/Contractor company. Responsibilities include entering, posting and reconciling batches, researching and resolving customer A/R issues, preparing aging reports, placing billing and collection calls, maintaining cash receipts journal, and updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L. What you get to do every single day
Reconcile bank accounts, recording and balancing financial information in a variety of ledgers
Supply shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders with information as requested
Carry out, convey, and strengthen the mission, values and culture of the company
Communicate with clients to settle payment issues and help create a payment plan
Handle payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
Follow standard procedures to execute general accounting tasks
Ensure accuracy of documents and codes
Requirements
Strong analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
Skilled with ERP systems
Great attention to detail
Construction Accounting experience highly desired
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred
Project accounting experience desired
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Deep understanding of AIA Documents
Expertise in AIA Billing
Adeptness in Microsoft Excel
2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
