Job duties also include assisting in other cash management programs such as TEXNET, which includes assisting customers on the telephone; disseminating information, maintaining database systems; and performing internal support work. May train others.Will Work under general supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. The candidate must have the ability to learn new concepts quickly and apply knowledge appropriately in a highly active environment with ever-changing circumstances. Apply today and help the Comptrollers office keep the Texas economy strong.This position may be eligible for a flexible/hybrid work schedule if certain conditions are met; working arrangements may change at any time as business necessitates.Qualifications:Minimum QualificationsGraduation from an accredited four-year college or universityTwo (2) years of banking, cash management, and electronic funds transfer, and/or related state government experience is required.Preferred QualificationsGraduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in accounting, finance, business or related field.SubstitutionsWork experience in an area related to accounting, finance, or business may be substituted for the education required on a year for year basis.LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONSN/AIn this role you will:Coordinate and support program activities for the Texas.gov web portal which is the state's official electronic government (e-government) for the citizens and business of Texas.Support other cash management programs, ensuring necessary services are provided to ensure customer satisfaction.Respond to telephone calls and emails and solves problems concerning cash management program transactions and activities; attends meetings with state agencies and vendors regarding establishment and implementation of new programs.Respond to the TEXNET hotline, problem solves, and explains payment procedures to taxpayers.Design and coordinate the implementation of new applications within each of the cash management programs for more efficient revenue collection.Act as program liaison and provides consultative services and technical assistance by researching payments made to various state agencies.Perform other related work as assigned.Veterans:To receive veteran's preference a copy o your DD214 (Member 4) is required.Veterans, Reservist or Guardsmen with an MOS or additional duties that fall within the essential duties of the job position or other related fields pertaining to the minimum experience requirements may meet the minimum qualifications.
