Overview
Work within NYU’s internal email system to develop and deploy internal and external e-newsletters. Manage the Dean’s social media platforms, including planning and developing content, reporting, and ongoing monitoring and engagement. Draft the Dean’s event remarks for smaller events. Support the Office of Communications team in curating web content and proofreading communications materials.
Responsibilities
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in communications, marketing, politics, English, literature, history, social studies or a related field.
Required Experience:
2+ years working in a communications role with regular writing and editing responsibilities; supporting the deployment of internal and/or external materials across multiple communication channels; supporting social media content creation and engagement.
Preferred Experience:
1+ years work in a fast-paced office with multiple constituents and dense content. Experience in a higher-ed or non-profit organization. and
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong written and oral communications, including editing and proofreading. Project management skills. Ability to create and distribute engaging social media content. Highly organized, meticulous about details and strong multi-tasking abilities. Collaborative work style and strong partnership and relationship-building skills.
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $65,000.00 to USD $75,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
