  New York Life is embarking on an exciting multi-year journey to bring improved experiences and new digital capabilities to our clients, Agents and employees. A key part of a client’s purchase experience often involves funding new accounts via internal and external money movement and payment transactions. This new role will be part of a cross functional team designed to reimagine and transform the purchase experience by leveraging digital tools and technologies to modernize the way money is received and moves across new business processes for insurance (life, long term care and disability), annuities, business solutions and wealth management solutions. Crucial to the success will be the ability to bring together internal and external stakeholders around a cohesive vision for improved money movement and payment processes that contribute to industry-leading customer/Agent satisfaction and operational efficiency.

  Responsibilities

  Responsible for acting as a Product Owner for internal/ external money movement and payment related initiatives across the NYL product portfolio (Annuities, Insurance, Business Solutions and Wealth Management).

  Develops, consolidates, and prioritizes business requirements for operational improvements related to money movement and payment transactions.

  Centralizes voice of the key stakeholders (including clients, Agents, and employees) to inform prioritization of requirements and improvement efforts.

  Drives a “digital first” approach and mindset to improvements to create improved experiences for clients, Agents, and employees during money movements and payment transactions.

  Partner across stakeholders to recoginize applicable legislation and develop requirements that drive efficient regulatory compliant solutions for financial transactions.

  Ability to communicate and translate business/technical requirements for multiple internal and external stakeholders with clarity and ease to promote alignment, understanding and delivery of business objectives.

  Looks externally at competitors and outside industry for inspiration on what “better” experience (e.g., channels, offerings, personalization) can look like at NYL for agents/clients/employees.

  Partners with departmental communications teams and initiative leads to refine on-going communication plans and execute tactical plans. Ability to communicate and distill complex technical information into updates easily comprehended by the broader business and non-technical stakeholders.

  Ability to provide leadership and direction to cross-functional teams to ensure successful outcomes.

  Strong knowledge of the financial services industry, funds transfer and account funding mechanisms is required.

  Qualifications

  Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the financial services industry.

  Broad experience with payments and financial transactions background is highly desired; Wire Transfer, ACH, RTP, Check Disbursements, Payables, Receivables and international transactions.

  Experience with business process modeling and data modeling.

  Proven experience as Product Owner in Agile projects. Experience working in a scaled agile delivery framework (SAFe) using agile software (Jira) or the equivalent is desirable.
