The Royal Caribbean Group's Celebrity Cruises brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Commercial Analyst on the Revenue Management Team reporting to the AVP, Revenue Strategy.
Position Summary:
In this position, you will aid in the development, operation, and maintenance of business information and dashboards. You will be responsible for data mining and large data sets designed to support the Sales, Marketing and Revenue Management efforts to manage the business. You will facilitate expansive reporting on promotional activity with the aim of creating best practices. You will use technical knowledge to solve business problems, by means of a systematic and disciplined approach, employing software, hardware, and/or communication technologies to accomplish assignments.
This position will work on-site in Miami, Florida.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirementsIdentify, design, and implement internal process improvementsImprove and maintain reporting structure aimed at improving business performanceBuild analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metricsWork with stakeholders including Sales, Marketing and the RM Product teams to assist with data-related and reporting needsCreate PowerPoint decks illustrating key business results for Trading meetings as well as other executive summaries.Highly analytical and interested in data visualizationConstantly looking to automate their workloads and striving to provide more timely, accurate, complete business analytics
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty1-3 years of experience in a data/cloud engineering role or display of comparable skill Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases preferredStrong analytic skills Able to illustrate and communicate commercial opportunitiesProven ability to collaborate with technical peersCapable of working independently and as part of a team.Demonstrate a certain degree of creativity with analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong with methodologies, tools, best practices and processes within specific area of responsibility
