  POSITION OVERVIEW

  The Senior Director of Onboard and Ancillary Revenue will be responsible for the management of Silversea's onboard and ancillary revenue, growth of product offerings, and the development of upselling revenue streams. This is a sales and marketing-focused position responsible for the creation of new commercial opportunities and production of new revenue.

  RESPONSIBILITIES

  Lead all aspects of Onboard and Ancillary Revenue for Silversea, including partnership development and management, data analytics, and strategic vision for Silversea's onboard and ancillary revenue growth. Scope of work includes: Pre- and post-cruise strategy and performanceShore excursions salesSpa, Retail, Fine Jewelry, Art, Photo Operations, and other onboard revenue operations Guest Technology: Internet and TelephoneOnboard Product Marketing and Communication Lead strategic and tactical initiatives to maximize onboard revenue by working collaboratively across shipboard concession management teams and internal business partners.Develop new revenue concepts and assist in the design and development of new concepts for new and revitalized ships.Lead the strategy for driving pre- and post-cruise revenue growth: improving the product offering, merchandising, packages, pricing, promotions and overall go-to-market strategy.Continuously improve onboard guest marketing and communication program to meet guest expectations and enhance guest experience (including pre cruise, pre cruise planning e-commerce platform, onboard digital and print (app, digital signage, daily program, in-stateroom TV, etc.)Manage P&L lines for Hotel / Onboard Revenue Operations / G&ALead an internal team and a roster of external partners/concessionaires. Develop annual financial plans and revenue targets by ship/revenue area and forecast adjustments throughout the year.Oversee all Onboard/Ancillary Revenue Business Intelligence/Data/Analytics activitiesNegotiate multi-million, multi-year vendor / partner contracts that ensure profitability for the company.Develop onboard training programs to grow revenue.In collaboration with all commercial units, define onboard offers, pricing, and relevant promotions. Employees will be required to perform any other job-related duties assigned by their supervisor or management.

  QUALIFICATIONS

  Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred15 years of equivalent experience in a hospitality operational environmentExcellent interpersonal skills: strength in communicating in a multicultural environment with all levels of operational personnelProven track record of success in a comparable position Proven Senior Leader focused on team engagement and employee developmentPrevious experience in the luxury industry is a plus

  KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  Highly analytical with proven success in problem identification and implementation of timely and cost-effective solutions that meet company objectives. Proven skills in financial analysis, business modeling and return on investment analysis.Must be a self-starter, with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.Candidate must possess knowledge of the hospitality industry, current market trends, and economic factors.Strong ability to interact and collaborate with senior management team and build effective relationships within the company as well as with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy. Exceptional interpersonal, communication and listening skills, including the ability to adjust style to successfully implement ideas across the business/ships and effectively interact with external and internal channels.Must exemplify the highest standards of honesty, integrity and discretion. Detail-oriented person who can tackle multiple projects and complex assignments.
