The Machinist will: Perform machiningoperations as directed by routing. Machines with close tolerances orfinish requirements. Operate machine tools such as manual and CNClathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce metal parts. Performssetups, proves out new programs, runs existing programs with somediversity of work and frequent setups and changeovers. Checking partsduring the run with the appropriate gauges. Ability to read andcomprehend G and M code and programs. Generates programs or editsexisting programs as required. Must be able to detect and recognisemachining problems. Inspect all finished products for accuracy anduniformity to ensure product quality and meets company standards.Completes special projects and other duties as assigned. Education andExperience: Education:High school Diploma or equivalent. If 3-8 yearsexperience, Technical diploma or Associate Degree in machining and/orJourneyman Machinist required. If 8+ experience, no additional educationrequired. Experience: 3+ years in machining using mills, lathes, and/orgrinders. Reading and interpreting documents such as blueprints androutings.
