Description:

　　•Perform nucleic acid NGS reactions with a goal of providing 100% accuracy and reproducibility. Performs all essential functions such as laboratory safety, workflow reporting of samples, maintaining laboratory metrics, and provides effective communication with laboratory management and team.

　　Essential Responsibilities/Duties:

　　Include, but are not limited to, the following:

　　• Performing manual pipetting steps with small volumes

　　• Careful and detailed following of SOPs

　　• Provide feedback on details of SOPs for possible clarification.

　　• Facilitate and ensure appropriate work output completed based on current metrics.

　　• Deep understanding of procedures, SOPs and QC/controls to ensure integrity of data

　　• Under the direction of the Lab Manager, track and review all incident reports and issues related to compliance within the lab

　　• Independently develop and plan bench level experiments; effectively present and clearly communicate findings at data meetings, group meetings and project team meetings.

　　• Provide technical guidance to junior scientists in project teams.

　　• Maintain knowledge of technological industry developments that could assist in completion of an assignment or aid in the development of new processes or procedures.

　　• Provide technical input and participate in decisions affecting project planning and experimental design.

　　• Generate, document, and communicate development plans for critical aspects of a project.

　　• Evaluate impact of nonconforming data to product or process.

　　• Identify and address trends in study data.

　　• Prepare and approve written reports.

　　• Maintain lab notebook in a clear, complete, and consistent manner, following all legal, ISO, and QSR requirements.

　　• Certifications/Licenses –

　　• Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist License (CGMBS)
