  Position Description

  At a Glance

  Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager to join the Data, Power and Control Divisionin Canonsburg, PA. TheSupply Chain Manageris responsible for the management of a team of planners and buyers who develop and implement a master production schedule that is linked to the monthly sales and operation plan. Plans and establishes production schedules, maintains supplier schedules, monitors material inventories, and works in collaboration with the Inventory and Warehouse Manager. Tracks production progress, reviews factors that affect production, and recommends remedial action. Lead the team to perform daily tasks associated with ordering and expediting components, packaging materials, raw materials, invoicing, managing safety stocks, quality, and VRMA activities. Responsible for ensuring that all timelines related to the supply chain are adhered to and proceed in an efficient manner to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

  What Will You Do?

  Maintain accuracy of the daily production schedules for all departments to set achievable targets.

  Maintain accuracy of the daily supplier schedules to achieve production plans to meet customer requirements.

  Liaison with Strategic Sourcing in management activities with key suppliers. Participate in supplier QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews) as needed.

  Monitors Syteline data, inventory reports, and other data resources to determine proper on-hand quantities and proper system settings.

  Use capacity planning tools to make necessary recommendations to the Production team to change production rates and/or line configurations with available labor.

  Develop and maintain rules of engagement for order management including master scheduling policy.

  Develops and maintains Master Production Schedule to ensure past due orders are minimized.

  Provide daily production/shipping performance updates against established goals.

  Evaluate the impact of expedited orders on the production plan and provide feedback to CSSs.

  Participate in the scheduling of new products (samples, first production runs, etc.)

  Assesses performance, examines sales orders and forecasts, and communicates risks to the organizations while recommending corrective actions.

  Support daily or weekly supplier meetings; engage in supplier report cards.

  Liaison with the engineering drafting team as needed.

  Participate in monthly safety walks.

  Qualifications

  Required Skills

  Education:

  BS in Business, Operations Management, or related or equivalent combination of education and experience. An APICS certification is desired.

  Experience:

  3+ years’ experience as a Supervisor or Manager in a Manufacturing/Production Environment.

  3+ years’ experience as a Planning Manager or Master Scheduler.

  5-7 years’ experience in a manufacturing/planning role in an ETO environment.

  Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  Strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail, and ability to effectively handle multiple priorities. Able to evaluate situations, identify options, and implement effective solutions quickly and efficiently.

  Must have strong computer skills and be proficient in using Excel. Ability to use Microsoft Products. Must be familiar with ERP, DRP, MRP, MRPII, or other formal computerized inventory system. Use of Access, Crystal Reports, or other formal data retrieval and report writing is a plus.

  Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment.

  Accepts sole or primary responsibility for the delivery of results and outcomes associated with the position; reliable; an obligation or willingness to accept responsibility or to account for one's actions.

  Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Must be an effective listener, able to maintain focus, extract necessary information, and validate understanding of the information.

  Able to create effective reports, presentations, and business correspondence.

  Strong communication team with good cross-collaboration abilities.

  Ability to maintain effective relationships with internal department personnel.

  Must have solid business acumen and understanding of a variety of functional areas within the business.
