The position is a hourly paid position. About the Program Division of CHS is a division which focuses on development of novel data science methods to analyze biomedical big data for advancing health care. The Natural Language Processing / Information Extraction (NLP/IE) Program (https://healthinformatics.umn.edu/natural-language-processing) at the Institute for Health Informatics is a team of investigators, postdoctoral researchers, programmers, and students who work together on NLP for a variety of clinical and biomedical tasks. Duties/Responsibilities: * Working with domain experts (clinicians, informatician, health data scientist) to develop annotation guideline for extracting clinical information from clinical documents and/or biomedical literature * Ability to use annotation software to conduct annotation tasks * Demonstrates applicability of the methodology and the reliability of definitions utilized by reviewers through Inter-Rater Reliability (IRR) testing. * Collaborates with leadership and stakeholders across the system to transform data and information into knowledge that will assist leaders in making informed decisions that support strategic initiatives.
