Description:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Prepares composite utility file, plan sheet drawings and complete SUE plans using Microstation (ORD or InRoads) and or AutoCAD Civil 3D
Ensures that his or her drafting is of the highest quality and organized in accordance with company design standard
Review utility record files from owners and agencies, ability to read and process data
Ensures that all drawings are prepared with accuracy, neatness, and speed
Ensures that all drawings are produced using uniform and standard quality of lines and lettering
Demonstrates ability to manage simultaneous projects
Communicates drafting issues and problems to the project manager
May assist in the data collection and/or field verification project documents
Qualifications:
Course Completions in engineering drafting/CAD operation preferred
Minimum 2 to 5 years work experience with in civil engineering or survey plan preparations (transportation, land development, survey or water/wastewater)
Ability to follow firm CAD standards and agency standards
Ability to read and understand engineering plans and record drawings
Experience in processing survey data a plus
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Solid time management and follow‐through skills, with the ability to simultaneously work on and manage multiple tasks and projects with tight deadlines
Positive, flexible team‐oriented approach, with the willingness and desire to work as part of a team
Self‐motivated, strong initiative; effective oral and written skills
Detail oriented, resourceful
