  Reports To: Director of Catering

  Salary: $45,000-$70,000

  Job Summary

  As a Catering Support Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Catering Department in all duties including training new associates, overseeing event set-ups, and directing any temporary personnel in addition to their everyday assignments.

  This role will be based in New York, NY.

  The great things you’ll do:

  Manage catering smallwares inventories

  Manage smallwares storage spaces for organization and cleanliness

  Maintain smallwares par in each storage space

  Assist Logistics & Supply Director with the development of smallwares orders and advise on equipment needs

  Track and manage breakage and shrinkage of smallwares

  Track smallwares lending between sites and facilitate movement and return of items

  Pick & deliver all smallwares needs to kitchen for culinary preparation

  Manage cleanliness of storage spaces and satellite catering kitchens

  Place, receive, and manage rental equipment orders

  Attend weekly BEO meetings and communicate liquor needs to Logistics & Supply Director

  Take liquor inventory weekly and receive liquor orders

  Compliance with all health department regulations

  What we look for in the perfect candidate:

  2 years of food service experience including 1 year at the management level.

  Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.

  Some knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.

  Financial, budgetary, accounting and computational skills.

  Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.

  ServSafe Certification.
