Position Summary:
The Campus Library Specialist coordinates daily operations of campuslibrary circulation, including newer services such as technology devicelending. Specialists oversee at least one functional area of thelibrary, such as: course reserves, receiving and processing newmaterials and serials, stacks maintenance and inventory, or Federal WorkStudy student supervision. The Campus Library Specialist takes the leadin policy and procedure development, review, and improvement in theirassigned area(s). The Campus Library Specialist directly supports theLibrary\'s mission of fostering student success.
The work schedule for this position is flexible and may includeworking evenings and weekends.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide patron-focused customer serviceUse the Sierra integrated library system and other support systemsto circulate materialsProvide basic reference assistance and first line technical supportConduct stacks maintenance, inventory and local campus processing ofnew library materialsHire, train, and supervise student aidesPrepare course reservesCollect and compile data and statistics to help inform librarydecisionsImplement and enforce library policies and proceduresParticipate in Library or College committees and work groupsJob Requirements:
Associates degree andTwo years of relevant library, technology support, or customerservice experienceor
