　　Position Summary:

　　Responsible for negotiating the purchase of quality produce and other perishable products at competitive prices and maintaining adequate inventories to meet customer demand.

　　Functions as a team member within the department and cross-functions as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the Company. The right person will have a high attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and professionalism with strong judgment and analytical skills.

　　Position Responsibilities:

　　Source, evaluate, and purchase products. Negotiate cost-effective solutions.

　　Responsible for reviewing purchase orders, working with outside vendors, and internal departments, examining pricing and availability of items, and reviewing alternatives to fulfill objectives.

　　Confirming PO’s for cost accuracy, correct quantities, and on-time delivery.

　　Working closely with team members and serving as a liaison between the sales team and supplies.

　　Work with suppliers to resolve service and quality-related issues.

　　Work with Logistics to secure on-time and cost-effective delivery of products.

　　Manage inventory to mitigate any loss due to over-buying, wrong items shipped, or quality which impacts Company financials.

　　Customer-oriented with the ability to stay on task with frequent interruptions. Ability to meet goals under minimal supervision.

　　Be available to inspect product deliveries on the dock and work with receivers to solve issues.

　　Inspect products daily to ensure a quality product is available for purchase by customers.

　　Become the expert in the category and work with sales answering their questions and giving support whenever needed.
