Position Duties and Responsibilities Data Reporting and Analysis (70%) Serve as reporting subject matter expert for SPA and departments. Helps troubleshoot any reporting or functionality issues, and works closely with RIO-IT to resolve issues. Optimize and manage internal data & reporting tools including the data flow and capture through business processes. Generate reports and analyze data for internal and external reporting out of the MN-GEMS system. Generate reports and analyze data on various sponsored projects activities for colleges & department heads. Responsible for internal and external complex data analysis requests ensuring data accuracy, withdrawing conclusions and developing presentation materials. MN-GEMS Helpdesk Support (20%) The MN-GEMS specialist will respond to business specific questions about the MN-GEMS system Track and provide suggested improvements to proposal and award data and workflow processes resulting from helpdesk feedback Other Duties as assigned (10%) This position may include other duties as assigned such as responding to requests and provide assistance to other SPA employees. Qualifications Required Qualifications BA/BS degree plus at least two years of experience, or Master's Degree Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Experience leading, facilitating and successfully finishing assigned projects on time Ability to be both individual contributor and work collaboratively as part of a team Proven ability to prioritize workload and organizational skills Ability to multi-task successfully About the Department Sponsored Projects Administration (SPA) is the University of Minnesota system-wide office authorized to submit research proposals and receive awards from external sources on behalf of the Board of Regents of the University of Minnesota.
