Responsibilities:
Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations
Process accounts payable transactions, including vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliations
Process payroll and ensure accurate calculation of employee wages, deductions, and tax withholdings
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
Prepare and analyze financial reports to support management decision-making
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations and company policies
Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial and operational issues
Provide support during audits and tax filings
Requirements
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Proficiency in bookkeeping software and MS Office Suite
Experience with QuickBooks is strongly preferred
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is a plus
Benefits
COMPENSATION and BENEFITS:
Salary starts at $18-20/hr based on qualifications. Benefits include majority-paid medical, dental, vision and matching 401K program. Earned paid time off starts at two weeks annually.
