Driven by our purpose to enable healthier lives everywhere, every day, Hologic's Bolder Surgical ("Bolder") facility in Louisville, CO, is seeking an Associate Manager, R&D with the ability to lead teams of direct reports and oversee multiple concurrent projects while also contributing. You will work on programs of high complexity and scope with minimal supervision.
You will possess technical judgment and understand the value of customer focus to support new product development from concept to production. You must be versatile and flexible and have the ability to drive for results and collaborate on multidisciplinary teams.
You will apply your knowledge and expertise acquired through progressive experience to develop teams and resolve crucial issues and unique conditions. You will keep yourself informed of new methods and developments affecting the organization and recommend new practices or changes.
So what will you do?
As a key member of the R&D department, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks as assigned while receiving strategic supervision with assignments:
Responsibilities:
Supporting development and implementation of product development plans for new product concepts.
Follows product through the transition to manufacturing.
Supporting hiring, onboarding, and training of engineering personnel.
Ensuring products meet customers' requirements per definition by sales and marketing.
Representing the organization and maintaining liaison with individuals and related organizations.
Collaborating cross-functionally to develop methods and processes that facilitate decisions and improve results.
Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality products that follow governing bodies.
Working closely with Quality to ensure ongoing compliance with the Quality Management System.
Effectively communicates to cross-functional teams to drive the best decisions for the business.
Technical:
Serves as the organization's technical specialist in applying advanced concepts, principles, and methods in an assigned area.
Assists upper-level management and staff as a technical specialist or advisor.
Supports programs of extreme complexity and scope and acts as product owner when necessary.
Serves as a technical specialist and supports development for direct reports and engineers.
Interprets, organizes, executes, and coordinates assignments.
Managerial:
Supervise, mentor, and give work direction to direct reports to complete assignments.
Plans, schedules, budgets, and/or coordinates the preparation of documents or activities for multiple major projects or is responsible for an entire program of an organization.
Reviews operational procedures to ensure compliance with applicable policies and performance measures.
Required Education & Experience
You should have a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or a related field with research and development experience in the medical device industry. You should have a minimum of 7 years of related work experience in the health and/or business communities.

Additional Details
The annualized base salary range for this role is $93,500 to $155,800 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
Ability to work flexible hours.
The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms, use hands to finger, handle, feel, and be able to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
