Purpose
Responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of the power facility while assigned on shift or while assigned to the maintenance team. These responsibilities include, but is not limited to Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment. This equipment includes, but is not limited to the gas turbine, steam turbine, generators, heat recovery steam generator, air compressors, water treatment equipment, demineralizers, motors, pumps, fire suppression systems, and all other balance of plant auxiliary equipment. Strictly adheres to all safety and environmental rules and regulations to protect employees, contractors, and public safety.
Accountabilities
Operations:
Distributive Control System: Operation, troubleshooting and corrective action of the DCS
Operate demineralizers, compressors, turbine components, and other Balance of plant system’s equipment.
Perform routine Operator rounds and inspection of plant equipment
Environmental System: Knowledge of system, monitoring, troubleshooting and corrective action of any environmental system on site.
Water Chemistry: Testing, data acquisition, knowledge of process and limits, troubleshooting and corrective action of water chemistry. Ensure that all chemical inventories are maintained
Maintenance:
Assists Maintenance crew in high level maintenance activities.
Perform and complete preventative and corrective maintenance tasks as assigned by Plant Supervisor, or Operations Supervisor to ensure the availability and reliability of the site.
Troubleshooting:
Able to identify and troubleshoot issues within the powerplant.Other:
Work Order System: Prepare, Complete and Submit work orders and preventative maintenance tasks as required and as assigned.
Computer Skills: Use of Microsoft office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook daily. Ability to use other computer software as determined by Management.
Procedures: Learn and follow all Liberty Power procedures.
Communication: Communicate with Local Utility, Local ISO, and the scheduling coordinator and maintain records of communications.
Maintain Operator Logs
Solar Plant: Perform rounds on Solar Site Scada system, Monitor Site Scada, and Site Security Cameras, Occasional work at Solar Site as determined by Management.
Any other duties as assigned by site management.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma
3+ years experience previous relevant experience
Preferred experience in a LM6000 gas turbine power plant

Compensation DOE (depending on experience):
Min: $32.99 Max: $49.49
