What you’ll be doing …
Build a best-in-class Azure-based cloud networking environment.
Design network interconnectivity between on-prem datacenters and Azure infrastructure.
Lead network efforts and work with Engineering and Operations to support migrating servers and services from data centers to the cloud over the next several years.
Develop a technical debt mitigation strategy in partnership with other engineers on the team.
Partner with infosec, engineering, and operations teams to better understand and incorporate upcoming IT needs in long-term and short-term network architecture strategy.
Provide technical leadership and assistance to NOC and Network teams.
Serve as network SME for the team, help grow others' knowledge in that space, and develop strong partnerships with 5-7 key leaders/architects on the team.
Report to the Director of Cloud Network Services.
You will need this to be successful …
Expert at reverse engineering large-scale and complex network environments.
Experience 12 to15 years
Must have technical experience with public cloud network design (Azure preferred).
Designing and building switched, routed, and wireless networks with enterprise-class devices
Azure Networking including virtual networks, subnets, load balancers, NSGs, firewalls, and ExpressRoute
Must have an advanced understanding of the OSI 7-layer model, a history of working with routing protocols, including BGP, and the ability to solve complex issues using network tools and packet captures.
Must have technical experience with networking core and edge switching/routing/VPNs, including Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet.
Must have expert experience in network security and experience leveraging Palo Alto firewalls and Azure network security groups (NSG), load balancers (Azure and F5), and network virtual appliances.
Huge plus - Experience with Terraform and Ansible and building and releasing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
Experience with networking hypervisor technologies such as NSX, NSX-T, and Azure VMware Solution.
Experience or willingness to learn and embrace leveraging agile methodology (Kanban, Sprint Planning) to manage project work.
Extremely good at communication and comfortable with a high level of transparency.
Ability to produce and maintain high-quality network topology/architecture documentation.
Highly collaborative attitude and able to mentor junior engineers on the team.
Low ego.
Certification examples: AZ-700, CCIE, or equivalent.
Academic Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experienceMandatory Requirements:
