　　Taconic Biosciences is seeking a temporary Associate Lab Specialist, Molecular Analysis to join our dedicated Molecular Analysis team for a 3-month assignment at our Rensselaer, NY site. This assignment can be flexible in hours and provides the option to join either the 1st or 2nd shift.

　　The Pay Range: $20.00 - $22.00. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions, with this the upper end of the range is not always likely to be offered.

　　The Schedule: 1st or 2nd shift based on availability with flexible working hours.

　　1st shift hours of operation are 8:00am – 4:30pm

　　2nd shift hours of operation are 2:00pm – 10:30pm

　　Length: 3 months, with potential to extend.

　　The Role:

　　The Associate Lab Specialist Molecular Analysis will provide support to the genotyping lab. Key responsibilities involve preparing DNA samples, overseeing lab inventories, and assembling genotyping tests. Precision is crucial to ensure accurate data entry and proper operation of equipment. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Molecular Analysis team, sharing results and ensuring the lab's efficient functioning. This role demands strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized lab environment.

　　Core Responsibilities: 

　　Perform DNA extraction and PCR reactions to ensure accurate results

　　Perform data entry of new genotyping results

　　Maintain detailed records of testing to ensure reproducibility

　　Operate equipment including thermocyclers, liquid handlers, and fragment analyzers

　　Review raw data to assess data quality and prepare genotyping results

　　Prepare and organize reagents, controls, and other materials required for testing

　　Adhere to established lab safety guidelines and standard protocols

　　Collaborate with team members to communicate results and coordinate work

　　Perform other duties as assigned, including inventory management and general lab maintenance

　　Education and Experience:

　　High School Diploma

　　Strong attention to detail

　　Experience collaborating with others and working independently.
