JOB REQUIREMENTS: R10033508 Plant Operator (Open) Location:Waukesha,WI - Acetylene production & filling How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?Position Title: Plant Operator Waukesha, WI Monday - Friday / 5:00a.m. - 1:30 p.m. The Plant Operator is responsible for safely operatingequipment for the handling and production of packaged gas cylinders,both for high pressure and liquefied gasses. Loads and unloads gascylinders and/or other products onto and off of route trucks andtrailers moving cylinders with proper carts only. Sorts empty cylindersby type. Rolls cylinders and operates a forklift truck for the movementof cylinders on pallets. Understands hazards of various gasses; size andcontents of cylinders by reading and interpreting cylinder labels andthe color-coding of tanks. Accurately labels cylinders. Handleshigh-pressure, medical and liquid cylinders. Prepares high pressurecylinders and cryogenic vessels for filling. Attaches to manifold,evacuates cylinders to eliminate all possible contaminants. Performsbasic cylinder maintenance such as painting cylinders, labelingcylinders, and cleaning of work area. Inspects cylinders prior tofilling, following standard procedures as required by government,Airgas, and distributor standards. Conducts a variety of Safety checksper procedures, such as odor tests, checking caps and valves. Fillscylinders by pressure and weight, per regulations and standards. Checksfor cylinder quantities, styles and product, and/or assists withinventory Manages paperwork to DOT, FDA, OSHA, and Airgas standards.Completes quality control sheets as required. Complies with allgovernment and company standards relating to the safe handling ofhazardous materials/cylindergases.________________________Are you a MATCH?HS Diploma or equivalent preferred. One year of experience inmanufacturing operations or loading experience preferred. Strongbackground in gas, welding and safety supply industry or chemicalindustry preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a widevariety of people with different personalities and backgrounds. Abilityto read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating andmaintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Detail-oriented.Ability to safely operate a forklift.
