The Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver (DU) invitesapplications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position inthe Burns School of Real Estate and Construction Management starting in Fallof 2024. Position Summary
We are open to applicants from all areas of real estate but have a particularinterest in candidates doing research in the areas of real estate finance,investment, REITs, and capital markets. Applicants must have strongresearch skills and the ability and desire to conduct very high-qualityresearch publishable in top real estate journals such as Real EstateEconomics, Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, and Journal ofReal Estate Research along with Financial Times 50 journals and other topurban economics journals (JUE, Journal of Regional Science, and LandEconomics). The successful candidate is expected to teach courses during theacademic year, which may include fall, winter, and/or spring quarters.Teaching responsibilities include both undergraduate and graduate-levelcourses using traditional, hybrid, and online delivery methods. Facultymembers are expected to participate in the College' faculty meetings,assurance of learning, and the advising of students in the program.
This position is research focused with strong support including summersupport, course releases, data purchase funds, and generous researchconference travel support for scholars consistently publishing in top realestate, urban economics, and finance journals.

Essential Functions
Research, Scholarship, or Creative Work: This is a research-focusedposition, and the individual who fills this position will demonstrate thepotential for conducting very high-quality research in real estate and housingmarkets. In the case of Associate Professor, they would have strongpublication record as expected of an endowed position. The College and eachacademic unit maintain lists of target journals. All professors are expectedto conduct primarily discipline-based research and focus on publishing intarget journals in the premier category.
Teaching: Expected to deliver up to six courses or their equivalentthroughout the academic year, which may include fall, winter, and/orspring quarters. Some of the courses are real estate principles, real estatefinance and real estate investments. Summer research support and coursereleases will be given in the first two years. However, for highlyproductive research faculty publishing in the top real estate journals such asReal Estate Economics, Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics andJournal of Real Estate Research, this benefit will be extended beyond theiniti
